There were 120,000 persons of Japanese ancestry who were interned, 62% who were Japanese-Americans born in the United States. My grandfather who was born in Japan came to Hawaii in 1888 and to the United States in 1902. Their generation were called the first generation or Issei and were not allowed to become citizens and were referred to as aliens. My mother was born in Hawaii in 1899 and a citizen. The second generation were called nisei's. I am the third generation and referred to as a sansei.
The camps certainly caused controversy between the issei and nisei and the government but I want people to know that in the end they all tried to do their best under the circumstances to persevere, be strong with dignity, to work together, and most importantly to help each other for the sake of the children and future.
Robert Iwamasa

Re: Northwood University – West Palm Beach Campus will become Keiser University

As a 1990 graduate of NU West Palm Beach I am saddened by the changes being made at the campus yet delighted that there will be greater opportunities for students seeking to make their mark in business development.

Keith G. I count myself among Classical Liberals, i.e. contemporary Libertarians.

Recently I was in a debate regarding the "Pledge of Allegiance," an oath of fealty encouraged in the United States. I used information from your speech as a primary portion of my stance. A human being should not be pressured to pledge their natural property, themselves and their creations.

Re: Day 1: Lamanai

How was it holding a baby crocodile doesn't it bite though ye a baby?
